With 17,500 patient records procured and 3,100 surgeons (and counting) involved, RESECT has already shown that there is significant global variation in the quality and outcomes of transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TURBT) surgery. RESECT is an international multicentre observational study of TURBT surgery with randomised feedback to sites. The aim is to measure global achievement of TURBT quality indicators (QI) and to determine if audit and feedback can improve performance.
